IPA's to API's - Breaking into technology from a non-traditional background

Interested in a career in technology but unsure where to start? You might not even know all the different career paths available through the tech sector and you're not alone. Journeys into technology don't have to start with a four year degree in computer science or being the founder of a startup. People in Denver are getting into technology from diverse backgrounds such as craft beer, coffee, and beekeeping.

Come hear the stories of people who have used their nontraditional backgrounds to land successful careers in technology. This panel will offer some tangible advice for how to promote your current skills to stand out in the hiring process. You'll have the chance to ask the panelists your own questions as well. We hope to see you at this exciting session!

Panel Host:
Laura Decker - previously Operations lead at Renegade Brewing Company, now Product Manager at Twilio

Panelists:
Rachel Kesley - Former Executive Chef and Director Of Sales for Renegade Brewing. Currently Director of Strategic Partnerships and Sales Solution Engineer at Arryved.
Kelley Hux - currently Lead Recruiter at no-code start up, Uiflow. Transitioned to tech from Higher Education where she worked as an International Admissions Counselor.
Alex Garza - Formerly Barista, now Fraud Operations at Twilio (and master ice cream scooper at Right Cream)
Andrew Shahan - from beekeeping to Google, Andrew's journey brought him to his current role as lead of the Developer Relations team at Daily Pay.
