Discussing Debt & Equity Financing Options as a Maker/Manufacturer
As a maker/small manufacturer, you have unique needs and challenges when it comes to financing your businesses. Also, if you’re coming to Denver Startup Week, you’ve likely heard of equity-based options (like angel investors, venture capital, crowdsource funding) and debt-based options (loans). But what all does that actually mean or what would that look like for a Colorado maker/manufacturer? During this session, you’ll hear from and get to ask questions of two Colorado makers/manufacturers (one who has elected to self-finance their business, the other through debt-based financing).
Joining the manufacturers, you’ll also hear from two Colorado nonprofit lenders, of whom have helped finance makers and manufacturers; a representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration, about how manufacturers can receive financial assistance to start exporting their products abroad; and an expert from Manufacturer’s Edge, who will speak to the Small Manufacturer’s AdvantEDGE, a partnership with the Colorado SBDC Network.
