Is Local Always Better? Urban Ag, AgTech and Food Production

Companies in Denver and the Front Range are joining the more traditionally agricultural parts of Colorado to increase urban food production via agriculture tech solutions and collaborations with chefs and food manufacturers. Join a multi-disciplinary panel hosted by The GrowHaus to discuss the pros and cons of local-centric agriculture and food production, and what's happening at the intersection of ag, ag tech and food. We'll also examine how the planned National Western Center, a research and collaboration center focused on agriculture and food planned at the historic National Western Complex, will contribute to the growth of AgTech in our backyard and nation.

After a panel with ample time for audience questions and input, mingle at a happy hour, courtesy of local breweries and cideries.

Panel:
Moderator: Nathan MacKenzie, Director of Development, The GrowHaus
Katie Lazor, Executive Director, Eat Denver
Barbara Frommell, Director of Strategic Partnerships, National Western Center
