Crowd Sprout is leading an initiative to enable access to funding for Colorado businesses who are part of Colorado's food system - farm to table. Crowd Sprout has established an online platform where businesses may raise funding through the Colorado Crowdfunding Act up to $2 million. The initiative is supported by Invest Local who provides setup services to businesses to design, stage and manage their campaigns. The initial crowdfunding campaign of Buenos Nachos seeks to raise $25,000 for a second food truck serving the Denver metro area. The goal is to develop a state-wide group of supporters who believe in local food production and small business. The session will explain and illustrate how Colorado food system businesses may take advantage of this new funding source.
