Makerspaces as a Tool for Small/Micro Businesses
Presented by Jake Harrington, a makerspace manager at Localworks, a nonprofit creating a makerspace in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, This session will teach artists, solopreneurs, and small business owners alike how to use a makerspace to cut costs, reduce risk, learn skills, and build a network in the early stages of development.
In this session, you will learn about what a makerspace is, who can use one in developing their business (hint: it's just about everyone!), and how you can plug into the community that inherently surrounds these spaces.
