SHE SPEAKS: THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
The music industry has experienced substantial change in recent years with advancements in digital ticketing solutions and distribution of music, experiential event design, and the ever increasing personalized fan experience. Gain key insights from female industry leaders about current trends, best practices, and what's next, in addition to learning what it takes to be successful in the industry and how to be a better ally to support the continued growth of opportunities for women in music.

Rooted from Kansas City, Brandy made her way to Denver in 2013 fueled by passion and thirst for exploration. Brandy has been a part of the Sofar Sounds team in Denver for 3 years, assisting with various roles locally and nationwide. She has taken her love for live music and the local music scene and expanded Sofar Denver while keeping that same homegrown, cozy vibe that makes a Sofar shows so magical. As Denver's City Director she has brought the team to great heights, expanding to 25+ shows per month, reimagining live music one secret gig at a time. When not planning secret gigs, Brandy supports previous clients/students, searches for the best BBQ in town and dabbles in the craft world. She also has a cat named Earl.

Chrissy has held roles in the music industry and event space over the past 10 years. Recently, Chrissy's personal mission in music has been mentoring young and passionate female music fans interested in careers in the music industry.

Rikki Aston

For over a decade, Rikki Aston has been dedicated to building the careers of musicians in the live performance space across the Front Range. During her six years at Soda Jerk Presents, she was responsible for marketing, ticketing, booking and venue management. In 2014, Rikki advanced to her current role as Talent Buyer for Live Nation Colorado where she promotes hundreds of shows across more than half a dozen venues in Denver. In 2018, Live Nation announced their acquisition of Denver’s Summit Music Hall and Marquis Theater and granted Rikki the responsibility of leading booking and promoting efforts for the two established music venues. Rikki’s passions include going to shows, indulging in Denver’s food scene, enjoying the outdoors, and true crime podcasts.

Whitney Wangsgaard is a 5-year Denver resident hailing from New Orleans, LA. After working music festivals in many Event Operations positions for over 10 years, she decided to mix things up and start Tour Managing bands just over 4 years ago. Since starting her first tour, she has evolved in her career and is now able to continue to tour and simultaneously work at an Artist Management Agency when not on the road. She is passionate about event production and giving music fans an amazing and unforgettable experience at every show she has involvement in.

At French 75, Frank Bonanno brings together cooking traditions from London, Paris, and America in a festive yet elegant setting. Our host venue is graciously providing $8 French 75's and $5 Red & White Wine Specials for your enjoyment. Please note, it is recommended that you arrive early as seating is limited at the venue. The panel will be hosted up the stairs past the host stand.
