What’s in a Name?

Branding in today’s online marketplace, especially for startups, comes with a unique set of challenges. Startups have to worry about traditional branding elements, as well as how to drive traffic to their website, especially during a brand launch or rebrand.

With over 15 years of experience in business development, Craig Smith, president of HomeAdvisor, will speak about the importance of a brand’s name. Smith will draw examples from HomeAdvisor’s recent rebrand, where the company changed its name after more than 13 years and had over 10 million content pages associated with the domain. Smith will share insights in how a brand’s name affects the traffic sent by search engines to the domain, brand recognition, and SEM.

Attendees can expect to learn about how companies can work with search engines to gain organic and paid traffic, examples of how companies can test brand recognition, and best practices for SEM.

Food & beverage provided.
