The increasing richness and prevalence of data enable advanced machine learning algorithms to seemingly “think” with incredible speed and accuracy. This informational session will describe how deep learning has evolved to provide flexible, robust modeling techniques to a wide user base, and how the physical architecture of GPUs and their firm/software have been adapted to provide computation fast enough to train models on huge datasets in short periods of time.
