Comcast Innovates Technology with a Focus on Accessibility
As a media and technology company, Comcast knows we play an important role in helping to deliver inclusive technology and experiences that enable more people to connect to the moments that matter.
"When you strive to make products and experiences more inclusive, you help everyone get closer to what matters most,” says Tom Wlodkowski, Vice president of Accessibility, Comcast.
As part of our commitment to engage and inspire more audiences and entrepreneurs through our inclusive technology and experiences, Comcast is proud to be the continuing Accessibility Partner for Denver Startup Week (Sept. 19-23, 2022).
At Comcast, our goal is to ensure we create accessible design into every product from the onset, never as an afterthought. That’s customer-centric while pushing technology forward to the next levels. Over the past decade, Comcast delivered game-changing products like the X1 Voice Remote, breakthrough innovations like Xfinity’s Adaptive Remote which was named one of Time Magazine’s “Best New Inventions in 2019,” and industry firsts like the Talking Guide which provides people who are blind or visually impaired with independent access to control their TV.
We know awareness of these technologies and resources is key in connecting more people to the moments that matter, and Denver Startup Week is an opportunity to learn from each other, so, as a community, we all can make our products, technology, and experiences accessible to the widest possible audiences.
We look forward to this week every year, to come together and be inspired and engage with each other as developers, creators, and entrepreneurs in an inclusive and accessible way.
