Who Runs The (Fashion) World? Women in Tech!

Hear from senior women leaders working at the intersection of fashion and technology. Nordstrom, Armoire, Havenly and Poshmark share how the latest technologies - Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, etc.-- are influencing shopping trends, personalization, supply chains, multi-channel customer engagement and other facets of the fashion business.

We will have perspectives from 4 different companies:
Nordstrom – a multichannel retailer known for bringing unique and best customer service with the help of latest technology.
Armoire - a high-end wardrobe rental service tailored to professional women
Havenly – a leader in interior design
Poshmark – a unique venue to buy and sell new and used clothes.

Each of these companies will share their achievements and learnings on how latest in technology have paved their path to success. Moreover, this will be a all women panel highlighting diversity and inclusion as well,

BIOs

Jessie Dixon, Chief Operating Officer at Havenly
Jessie Dixon is a seasoned retail professional with over 15 years of experience working in the rapidly evolving e-commerce space. Prior to joining the founding team at Havenly as Chief Operating Officer, Jessie held roles at Amazon.com, Walmart Global eCommerce and eBags.com where she worked in a variety of functions including product management, corporate strategy and merchandising. During her six year tenure at Walmart, Jessie led the creation of Walmart’s third party marketplace program and managed several business lines including pharmacy and gift cards.
Jessie received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BS in Business Administration. She served on the Board of Trustees of Metro Caring, a Colorado based hunger relief organization, from 2014 – 2017.

Ishita Chatterjee, Director of Engineering Nordstrom
Seasoned technology leader with a strong functional background in retail and extensive experience in in building and leading highly technical teams across e-commerce, web-services, retail merchandising and supply chain systems
Leading solution design for event stream-based data platform for catering to the product and details displayed on the website and mobile app. Responsible for site/app-critical products and services like product offer orchestration and streaming services, eCommerce database engineering, data abstraction services across web and mobile
Leading key women in technology and diversity inclusion initiatives at Nordstrom that are helping nurture better women leaders and empowering new ones

Barkha Saxena, Chief Data Officer Poshmark
Barkha Saxena is Chief Data Officer at Poshmark, a leading social commerce platform for the next generation of retailers and shoppers, where she built the data team from the ground up and leads all analytics, data science, and machine learning (ML) initiatives. Barkha has been in the data science and ML space for over 15 years, starting as a hands-on data scientist, and after spending more than 10 years in financial services and digital advertising, her interest in the mobile, social, and e-commerce space brought her to Poshmark. Poshmark was the perfect combination of all three and she hasn’t looked back since joining the company five years ago.

Berea Schaffer, Head of Product & Technology Armoire
Berea Schaffer is the Head of Product and Technology for Armoire Style, a data-driven, high-end wardrobe rental service geared toward professional women, aka the everyday Boss Lady. Berea leads a small and growing team of data scientists, engineers, analysts, user experience professionals, and product leaders at Armoire. Prior to Armoire, Berea was a Product and Technology Executive at Expedia Group, the world’s largest travel platform. There she served multiple leadership roles and drove Expedia Group’s transformative efforts in Customer data, paving the way for more personalized and engaging travel experiences. Before joining Expedia, she spent time in consulting, start-ups and corporate environments working across industries such as Telecom, Insurance, and Ecommerce. Always a technologist, Berea first developed her passion in a high school Visual Basic class.
