Entrepreneurship Off the Grid - Building Startup Communities Across Colorado
One of the most magical things about Colorado is the lifestyle - many people come here for a specific, outdoor-oriented lifestyle, find themselves wanting to live and work in places outside the Front Range that put them more directly in touch with that way of life. The exposure and resources of many of these places make them very conducive to entrepreneurship, but the challenges associated with building companies and entrepreneurial communities in smaller towns and resorts are very different than those encountered in the city. Join representatives from groups that are establishing entrepreneurial communities in Telluride, Vail, Steamboat, and Frisco for a discussion on what the entrepreneurial path looks like “off the grid” and how it’s transforming their towns.
Panelists will include
- Ross Iverson, Vail Leadership Institute
- Ashley Nager, Telluride Venture Accelerator
- Amy Kemp, co-founder of ELEVATE CoSPACE in Frisco
- Ellen Winkler, co-founder of Battery621 & Industry. Former resident and business owner, Jackson, WY
