Digital Health Challenge
The 2014 Digital Health Challenge @ Denver Startup Week, powered by the Colorado Health Foundation, is more than simply a “shark tank.” This event is the exciting public culmination of this 3-month long process of vetting and refining companies in one of the most problematic and opportunity-rich industries in the U.S.—Health Care—and one of the hottest fields in Tech.
Colorado’s best and brightest digital health startups will pitch live in front of a panel of healthcare executives and a group of 100+ interested observers.
Winners of the 2014 Digital Health Challenge have the potential to earn a valuable opportunity to pilot their technology in a healthcare setting. First, second and third place winners will receive up to $100,000 in combined cash awards provided by the Colorado Health Foundation to offset the implementation cost of a pilot to both the early stage company and their host institution.

Additional Background:
The 2014 Colorado Digital Health Challenge is a 3-month program matching early-stage digital health companies to pilot program opportunities within key healthcare service organizations and stakeholders (hosts), including hospitals, physician clinics, payers and more.
Applicant companies submit a summary of their company and product and proposing a specific pilot project, to be reviewed by a selection panel of subject matter experts. This panel chooses a short list of finalists.
Throughout August, finalist companies will be mentored on business model analysis and pitch coaching. Near the end of August, a private live pitch event will be conducted to a panel of mentors for final feedback and mock judging.
The Digital Health Challenge culminates in a unique opportunity for Colorado’s best and brightest digital health startups to pitch live in front of a panel of health care executives and a group of more than 100 interested observers.
