The scourge of mental illness is unavoidable. I've lived with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder since the tender age of 13. I've had moments of suicidal ideation and fits of depression. I’ve grown accustomed to being privileged – in terms of access to care, resources, and supports. Finemind is an organization that provides community mental health in northern Uganda (a country boasting 30 psychiatrists for 43 million people) to bridge the mental health treatment gap.
