Get Farther Faster –How Startups Can Leverage University Talent

Do you have an idea to disrupt an industry but need market research before you forge ahead? Perhaps you’re ready to prototype an idea but can’t afford an expensive development firm. How can a startup move forward quickly and nimbly without a big budget? It’s time to go back to school!

Startups are primed to leverage all the resources available at a University. From research to design to consumer insights and legal guidance, a university campus has the resources you need at a fraction of the cost. Our panelists will share stories of working with startups to help them move farther faster while giving students real-life project-based experiences. :

Panelists include:
Melissa Akaka, Associate Professor of Marketing at the Daniels College of Business (University of Denver)
Michael Caston, Associate Professor of the Practice & Executive Director of the Innovation Floor, Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science (University of Denver)
James Ducay, Adjunct Faculty in Experiential Learning at the Daniels College of Business (University of Denver)
Ben Sawyer, Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science (2019), a young alum who worked on an industry project.
