Global Change for Good: How Innovators Participate in Civic Engagement

FWD.us is a bipartisan political organization that believes America’s families, communities, and economy thrive when more individuals are able to achieve their full potential. Founded and funded by Mark Zuckerberg and other tech leaders, the group's work is focused on reforming America's immigration and criminal justice systems. With that mission in mind, FWD.us is bringing its local Innovation Council to Denver Startup Week to discuss expectations for corporate social responsibility in a new age of civic engagement. Founders, community leaders, and CEOs will speak on how they’ve moved past rhetoric on these issues to enact real change. They will discuss the changes in immigration policy that are affecting their businesses, how they maximize employee recruitment and retention in these uncertain times, and share real, concrete actions you can take today to support immigrants and other marginalized persons in your company, your community, and across America.

Come quench your thirst for advocacy with a drink and a snack before heading into this amazing series of lightning talks by entrepreneurs from around the globe who are working to make Colorado a better place.
