Moderator:

Leah Zions is the co-founder of Team & Culture, a Denver Marketing firm, and Wiz Kid Social. She is a serial entrepreneur and has a long history of working with startups. She is also an editorial writer and has worked as an editor for several publications and is currently the editor of the Denver Startup Week Online Publication. As a "big-picture" kind of person, Leah has a passion for building successful strategies for growing businesses.

Mike is an entrepreneur and has founded and served as president for several successful businesses. Mike is an investor in real estate ventures, private equity funds and small business start-ups. Mike received his BSBA degree from Denver University and an MBA from the University of Colorado.In addition to his involvement with the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Mike has endowed a scholarship fund at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and is an active supporter of the DU Ski Team.

Mike enjoys C-level engagements with small businesses and private equity firms. His expertise focuses on sales growth and gross margin contribution. In addition, Mike has extensive experience in business valuation and acquisition.

Sarah Procopio

Sarah has deployed and leveraged CRM systems, constructed RFM models, consumer evaluation formulas and other mathematical database assessments for a multitude of organizations. While Sarah is an established expert in the gaming, hospitality and food and beverage industries, she has also applied her success strategies across multiple other industries with equal success including home builders, medical diagnostics, entertainment, nightclub, retail, non-profit, oil and gas as well as others.

Ms. Procopio has the unique ability to meld data science and human behavior to grow revenue and increase profit. Founder & President for Colorado-based Thrive Now, a nationally recognized, analytics and data driven marketing firm. Ms. Procopio has exceptional analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and deep experience in analytics based marketing. As an award-winning leader, her keen ability for leveraging marketing mediums to yield optimum ROI has earned her the reputation for turning flailing companies and marketing programs around quickly by leveraging analytics. Ms. Procopio’s broad experience has allowed her to work with big data for customer insight generation and apply predictive analytics to maximize customer profitability across the customer lifecycle.

Some of Ms. Procopio’s recent successes include boosting analytics marketing revenue by 57% with a profit margin of 49% and increasing overall casino revenue by 18% for a 3,000 room casino property via an aggressive turnaround strategy. This was for a casino that was in a substandard position in the marketplace. Sarah exceeded ultra high net worth (UHNW) and HNW consumer thresholds by 38% via brokering acquisition deals and creating analytics based marketing and CRM strategies with luxury brands including Cartier, Saks 5th Avenue, Tiffany & Co. and Alexander Yachts for a Bahamian mega resort luxury brand. She also increased analytics marketing program revenue by 19% and increased profit by 26% with an overall revenue boost of 12% for a 2,100 room casino property on the Las Vegas strip. A consumer analytics marketing executive at Caesar’s Entertainment and Marriott International, she also brings experience from the MGM Resorts International and the Silverton.

Ms. Procopio’s tenacious curiosity is a cornerstone of her success. As a result, developing expertise in new areas of business and industries are key drivers for her. Sarah holds an Executive MBA from Denver University and has a degree in marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Ms. Procopio is also an internationally recognized expert in consumer analytics and a well-accomplished speaker, speaking at events such as the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Macau and Las Vegas as well as tribal gaming conferences across the nation. Ms. Procopio has been a writer for the Las Vegas Business Press, Gaming & Leisure Magazine, Denver Business Journal, ColoradoBIZ Magazine, Global Gaming Business Magazine and the Casino Journal. Sarah also coaches entrepreneurs and start ups to help them maximize their success.
