Access to Flexible Capital, Training, and Technical Assistance
Underserved small businesses, such as those owned by women, minorities, and individuals with lower incomes, encounter barriers to entry into the start-up world. This panel will highlight the work local organizations are doing to help underserved entrepreneurs gain access to capital, training, and technical assistance; shed light on some of the challenges these small businesses face; and provide recommendations on how to overcome these barriers. Fueling the discussion is a JPMorgan Chase Institute report, “Cash is King: Flows, Balances and Buffer Days,” which explores the financial lives of small business owners.
