There are many ways to lead. Bart has found that one of the most powerful ways to lead is through vulnerability. Leading through vulnerability can be challenging as it is not something we are inherently used to practicing in the business world. In fact, traditional protocols would discourage an environment of vulnerability, which tends to create a climate of miscommunication and misunderstanding. Expressing fears and sharing emotional states and expecting the same from his team has allowed Bart and his company to understand the more basic ideals of working with people. As he so aptly says, "We are all just bags of chemicals, how is that affecting your team?"
