Tipping the Scale: How to Scale your Infrastructure

Congratulations, your business is starting to gain traction! Now that you've found some success, there is a whole host of questions that need to be answered. When's the right time to start thinking about scaling? How do you get the most out of your current infrastructure? How do you weigh your options when it is time to scale? How do you put a process around your development workflow for infrastructure? And how do you get resources to pay for it?

This panel will bring together engineering leaders that have both scaled their own companies and built tools to help others scale. We'll discuss best practices for Engineering teams as they think about bringing their infrastructure to the next level. Panelists include:

Daniel Bartholomew is the CTO of section.io, a docker-based content delivery network managing 100's of millions of pages per month.

Matthew Boeckman is the VP of Infrastructure at Craftsy. Matthew has designed and managed full technology stacks at varying scale for 18 years.

Seth Goings, VP of Engineering at Deis, is responsible for cultivating a strong engineering team which consistently and efficiently builds powerful tools designed to make it easier for teams to create and manage applications on Kubernetes. He’s continually attracted to the art and science of producing elegant software products, forming code that is poised for long term maintainability, and automating the processes that have historically plagued organizations.

Matt Klich is the Manager and tech lead of the DevOps team at Wayin. In the last 14 years he has been a developer, systems/database/network admin and everything in between. His team at ReadyTalk called him The Code Counselor.
