The Art of Managing Your Intellectual Property Spend As an Early Stage Company

Intellectual property issues can arise throughout the product development phase, from deciding when to file a patent application during product development to dealing with a design change after a patent application has been filed. Getting ahead of these issues can save precious resources and this session will be aimed at educating early stage makers on steps that can be taken to manage IP in a cost effective manner.

This session is hosted by Scott Brairton, a Perkins Coie attorney and former patent examiner with the United States Patent Office. Joining Scott to share their first-hand experiences with controlling IP spend will be in-house counsel and corporate executives Tiffany Parcher, IP Counsel, Medtronic; David Poticha, Director, Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property, Biodesix; and a special guest from Gates Corporation.

Please join us for a waffle bar and lattes served up by our on-site barista while you enjoy our presentation. Free parking in the 1900 Sixteenth St. Garage will be provided.
