We have smartphones in our pockets, smart watches on our wrists and smart homes, but where is my smart office? The workplace is in need of a smart technology makeover.

This discussion will explore the potential of using both existing technologies and inexpensive new devices to make our offices smarter, better places to work. How can technologies like mobile, bluetooth beacons and NFC enable business applications? How can IoT devices and platforms that are abundant in the consumer world be utilized in the office? It will also demonstrate both how a commercial application has capitalized on proximity-based tech as well as an example of an open source solution coordinating off-the-shelf IoT devices.
