What happens when middle school Latina youth shadow established entrepreneurs in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and design careers? This panel discussion explores the insights and aha's that youth and adults experienced during a career shadow experience in summer 2016.

Latina girls spent time visiting the workplaces of STEM and design leaders, and then they participated in hands-on activities to explore STEM and design careers before mapping out individual career pathways. The panel will reflect upon what they took away from their time together while also calling attention to workforce development pipelines as well as how to inspire and generate underrepresented workers to enter STEM and design professions.
