Stillness in the Race

Confession time: I have been addicted to change. I love change. At times it has been my crutch— my philosophy was that anything could be cured by switching apartments, boyfriends or jobs. If I wasn’t constantly on the pursuit of something new or “better”, I felt unfulfilled and restless. And the idea of commitment scared me into thinking the freedom I held so close would be taken away.

I think moving across the country and away from family can be seen as brave; and for some of us, it is.

But maybe the truth is some of us, like me, aren’t brave enough to stop running.

2020 has already challenged and grounded me to limits and boundaries I had never been pushed to before in finding new stability in myself and learning to trust people again. I am learning that fulfillment doesn’t have to come (and sometimes can’t come) from jet setting. I am learning stillness. I am learning contentment— not in a way that’s settling for less, but in a way that embraces the abundance that’s already around me.

As I go into my 9th year with Remickz Marketing, I can confidently say my work, clientele selection, workshop and speaking opportunities, and overall drive has never been more intentional. Does that mean I won’t travel this year? Hell no ⚡️quite the opposite.

Until then, message me if you want to chat. My door is always open.
