State and local governments recognize the value of startup business and as a result are designing new programs to support them. The State of Colorado’s Advanced Industries (AI) Accelerator Programs and the City of Denver’s small business loan programs are examples of such programs that promote growth and sustainability by helping drive innovation, accelerate commercialization, encourage public-private partnerships, increase access to early stage capital and create a strong ecosystem that increases the state’s global competitiveness. The Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) will moderate a panel of experts on the State of Colorado’s Advanced Industries Accelerator Program and the City of Denver’s small business lending programs, entrepreneurs who have graduated from startup to operating business utilizing these state and city programs, and investors who have collaborated successfully with the State of Colorado or City of Denver to fund startups.
