Start with the End in Mind

The event will be a panel discussion (hosted by Kendall, Koenig & Oelsner PC and CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) followed by a happy hour. The panel will talk about strategy and structure for achieving an exit through mergers and acquisitions. The panel will include perspectives from a lawyer, an accountant, a valuation expert and two business people with extensive acquisition experience (one person from the acquirer side and one from the acquired side).

Anyone who has started a company (or is thinking of starting a company) with the end goal of exiting through an acquisition or merger should attend. The discussion will be applicable to new businesses as well as businesses close to exits. People will learn about the “dos and don’ts”, they will hear war stories of acquisitions gone bad, success stories, and what businesses can do along the way to make it easier, more cost effective and successful to achieve an acquisition. Of course, they will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

The panel is an awesome idea because acquisitions are increasingly common and we want businesses to be knowledgeable and prepared. If we can help businesses take the right steps from the beginning, they can achieve their ultimate goal –a successful exit!
